ISDN2001/2002: Second Year Design Project
We embarked on an ideation journey to come up with a solution for the mold problem. We began by conducting research on the chemical and mechanical aspects involved in mold removal to gain insights and understand the needs of the users we were designing for.
This research helped us identify pain points and challenges that we could address through our design.
-
Learned about the environment for mold growth & elimination
-
Looked into widely used mold removal chemicals and materials

-
Purchased a wall-climbing car toy to examine its mechanisms
-
Looked into wall-climbing patent mechanisms and design processes

Used to apply the mold removal solution on the surface
Spray
Used to create enough force to aid the tool in attaching itself to the wall
Propellor Fan
Used to wipe away the mold and chemical solution residue from the wall
Roller
Used as the main body of the cleaning tool to hold everything in place
Chassis
Used to hold the storage for the mold removal solution, power supply & other electric components
