Self-checkout with RFID
The Lodge incorporates an RFID system similar to a mobile UNIQLO check-out spot. Each product is equipped with RFID tags, allowing the cart to identify the items placed in its storage area. This technology eliminates the need for customers to wait in long queues. Instead, when a customer wishes to check out, they can simply remove the desired products from the Lodge cart. The system automatically registers the items taken and calculates the corresponding amount due. Customers have the convenience of paying directly using the cart or via a dedicated app on their mobile phones.
Inside the Lodge cart, there is an extended RFID panel designed to read up to 950 tags per second. This advanced RFID technology allows for continuous and seamless tracking of items placed in the cart. It ensures high mobility within the mall, allowing customers to move freely without losing the cart's tracking capabilities. The detection range of the RFID panel aligns closely with the storage size of the Lodge cart, enabling efficient and accurate identification of items within the designated range.
