Independent Study on Drone Rescue in Adverse Weather Conditions
There are currently no systems for drone rescue in adverse weather conditions such as rainfall or typhoons.
Post Flood Weather
Wind: After a flood, the wind conditions are typically influenced by the larger weather patterns in the area. If a flood is caused by a severe storm, strong winds may persist during and after the event. The wind may hinder recovery efforts.
Rain: Following a flood, the rainfall levels can vary. In some cases, the flood itself caused by heavy rainfall, and additional rain may exacerbate the situation and prolong the recovery process.
2 Approaches:
1. The flight control system may be optimized for strong wind conditions. This may include enhanced stability control algorithms to ensure that the UAV is able to maintain balance and fly stably in windy conditions.
2. Drones can be designed with more robust construction and waterproofing to cope with high winds and heavy rains.
