Research background and motivation:
The structability of the inflatable boat is a crucial concern regarding the shape and the weight distribution. Uneven weight distribution thus causing overturn of boat
Few have investigated metamaterials on planar sheet surfaces. Research about applying folded texture sheets to container design showed such could improve weight distribution thus inspiring such investigation on the effectiveness of utilizing such sheets as a solution to the problem at hand.

Demo video:
Choosing a material with ideal deformability could absorb the energy reducing the sudden shift of the center of gravity.
In addition, higher stress loading capabilities can enhance the boat's resistance to impacts or external disturbances. Such structure could enhance the user experience and safety which is one of the essential aspects of the system.
